Percentage Increase Classic Calculate
Classic method for calculating percentage increases between two values. Use this calculator to quickly find how much a value has grown as a percentage of its original amount.
Complete User Guide
Enter the initial (old) value and the final (new) value. The calculator subtracts the old value from the new value, divides by the old value, and multiplies by 100 to give the percentage increase.
The Mathematical Formula
((New - Old) / Old) * 100
Percentage Increase = ((New Value − Old Value) / Old Value) × 100. If the result is positive, the value increased. If negative, it actually decreased.
