Percentage Increase Calculator

Calculate the percentage increase from one value to another. Use for salary raises, price hikes, population growth, investment returns, follower count growth, and any upward change you want to quantify.

Complete User Guide

Enter the original value and the new (higher) value. The calculator finds the difference, divides by the original value, and multiplies by 100 to give the percentage increase. If the new value is lower, the result will be negative, indicating a decrease.

The Mathematical Formula
((New Value - Old Value) / Old Value) × 100

Percentage Increase = ((New Value − Old Value) / Old Value) × 100. Example: salary rising from $50,000 to $57,500 is a ((57,500 − 50,000) / 50,000) × 100 = 15% raise.
