Percentage Point Calculator
Calculate the arithmetic difference between two percentages in percentage points. Percentage points are not the same as percent change — a shift from 10% to 15% is 5 percentage points but a 50% relative increase.
Complete User Guide
Enter the starting percentage (P1) and the ending percentage (P2). The calculator subtracts P1 from P2 to give the difference in percentage points. A positive result means P2 is higher; negative means it decreased.
The Mathematical Formula
P2 - P1 = Difference in Points
Percentage Point Difference = P2 − P1. This is a simple arithmetic subtraction. For example, if interest rates move from 3% to 5%, the change is 2 percentage points (not 2%).
