The Mathematical Formula
Cubic Yards = (Length × Width × Depth in inches) ÷ 324 | Tons = Cubic Yards × Stone Density
Volume (cubic yards) = Length (ft) × Width (ft) × Depth (in) ÷ 324. Weight (tons) = Volume × density factor (1.25–1.4 tons/yd³ depending on stone type).
